GoStylista of the moment – Skinny Hipster

Today’s GoStylista of the moment is a girl that inspires us all with her outfits. Nife, more known as “Skinny Hipster” from her successful blog took a few moments of her day to tell us more about herself and her fashion. Check out the interview!

GoStylista :Tell us a little bit about yourself and your fashion blog.

Skinny Hipster: Hi! My name is Nifesimi and I was born in Nigeria.  I’m currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in marketing. I started gearing my blog towards fashion in August 2008.  I share my personal style and fashion inspiration on my blog.  I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends…and I LOVE to eat (lol).

GoStylista: Where do you find inspiration for your beautiful personal style?

Skinny Hipster: I find inspiration from my African roots. The textiles and colors are most inspiring.

GoStylista: How would you describe your style?

Skinny Hipster: My style is edgy but always evolving.  I enjoy playing with bold prints, textures and colors.

GoStylista: Are there any fashion icons or famous people whose style you admire?

Skinny Hipster: I’m obsessed with people with authentic styles such as Jenna Lyons, Christine Centenera, and Taylor Tomasi Hill.

GoStylista: We all love shopping…is there something in particular you splurge on?

Skinny Hipster: I mostly shop at H&M, BCBG, Zara, Ann Taylor Loft, sometimes Forever21, Madewell, JCrew and ASOS.

GoStylista: According to you, what are this coming spring’s must-haves?

Skinny Hipster: We are going to be seeing loads of sheer fabrics such as chiffon, black and white color combinations, suits and Asian inspired prints.

GoStylista: Today you have a successful blog, what are your plans for the future? Where do you see yourself in 3 years?

Skinny Hipster: I am currently focusing on building the Skinny Hipster brand into more than just a blog. I am diligently exploring new ways to allow Skinny Hipster to serve as a platform for my other creative and professional interests. In three years, I hope to be a full-time fashion stylist. Even beyond fashion styling, I plan to open a clothing boutique.

GoStylista: Finally, do you have any advice for readers that might want to take a leap and start their own blog?

Skinny Hipster: Having a blog takes a lot of dedication and is very time consuming but it’s also very fun.   It’s a great way to meet/ interact with people that share similar interests with you; and if you work hard towards it, you will get great results.

Are you findng Skinny Hipster as amazing as we do, then please check out more of her outfits on GoStylista.
